Real in the Fields: CWC Recap (7/27)

Real in the Fields: CWC Recap (7/27)

This past Cruiser Weight Classic this week featured mostly ground based wrestlers. There was about one or two "Damn" or "Holy Shit" moments.

I'll save you the time. You're welcome. Here's a review of the winners and an honorable mention.

Zack Saber Jr. is extremely talented and is the type of guy you can appreciate if you like a lot of mat wrestling and exchanging moves or holds.

Drew Gulak is pretty good, but his style is forward motion and very technical. His dragon sleeper submission is nice though.

No longer the high flying, full of energy youngster we used to know as "Spanky," Brian Kendrick is the crafty veteran now. He's a more ground based opportunist. Kendrick advanced via a cool submission.

Tony Nese if used right could be a star anywhere in the world including WWE/NXT. In a short match he really impressed me. TNA brought him in apart of the X-Division a few times way back when and he was good then but he's upped his game a helluva lot since.

Honorable Mention:

Raul Mendoza is extremely talented. With a bit more polish he could be a real star on a bigger stage. He gets my "Holy Shit" moment of the night. If nothing else remember this Acronym #TOWCTCVT "Tree of Woe Coast to Coast Van Terminator"

If you're a fan of all kinds of wrestling you'll enjoy this. If not Tony Nese and Raul Mendoza in their matches brought the most excitement. Overall a decent show but compared to last week's episode it was this week's Raw to this week's Smackdown.
