Love & Hip Hop Atlanta "Back in the A" | Rundown

89% of the time it works all of the time

Last night (April 22) to everyone's delight Love and Hip Hop Atlanta #LHHA season two premiered. (applause) #LHHA opened with Mimi getting ready in what appears to be her bathroom, but as she comes out we see Stevie J in bed with their daughter. Mimi assures us that “this is not that.” Mimi explains the night before, she went to go pick up her and Stevie J's daughter and ended up spending the night there because she was tired and Stevie J wasn't there. She goes on to say that Joseline came into the room asking why she was there. Apparently Joseline has been living in the house with Stevie J. I mean come on, Mimi should had packed her shit and her daughter and exited once Joseline started to pop off. Especially since the next morning Stevie J hit Mimi with the “what about us?” Wow! This guy. He got two bitches at the same damn time. Later on Stevie addresses Joesline about Mimi spending the night, and the two just argued back and forth getting nothing resolved.

Next we see Scrappy and Erica together discussing Scrappy’s clothing budget for the month. Its season two and we still don’t have a Scrappy translator. They both seem happy about the engagement.

Not everyone is excited about Scrappy and Erica's engagement. Shay is still heartbroken and goes to see Scrappy's mom, Momma Dee. Momma Dee is on the same page as Shay feeling that Shay is the one for the "Prince of the South" Scrappy. Shay reveals that the love she has for Scrappy hasn't gone away and she now has no one to talk to and has lost a friend. I feel they should both get over it. This man is with the mother of his child and has decided to marry her. Can't we let black love be great.

K. Michelle is up next and she has a new record deal and is very happy with the changes that have transpired from the show. Which she should be, I think she's made the biggest moves outside of the show since its premiere last season. K. Michelle wants to name her album “Rebellious Soul.” Her A&R doesn't think that's a good idea. But K. Michelle, who is a fan of the movie 'Stepbrothers' since she wants to be a mixture of “Fergie and Jesus,” disagrees wholeheartedly.

Erica and her mother, Mingnon discuss her engagement with Scrappy. Her mom is “content” with the situation. She can't commit to being fully happy because of Scrappy's past. The fact that the engagement ring cost $21,200 quieted Mingnon's mouth for now.

Benzino is now a late night radio personality on V-103 and he is interviewing Joseline. During the interview Joseline reveals that she is single and done with Stevie J., but she's always looking because she likes to have sex. Benzino asks Joseline does Stevie J know how she feels? She states she doesn't care before she asks Benzino does he have anyone to hook her up with. Im not sure what brought this change of heart from Joseline. Is this because of Mimi aka “Molly the Maid” moving in or were Joseline and Stevie J done before the altercation with Mimi.

K. Michelle then meets with Erica, in between sips of wine K. Michelle announces that she wants to throw Erica an engagement party. While running down the list of potential guests, K. Michelle reveals that she doesn't like Mimi's friend Ariane. Ariane had recently revealed on a radio interview that she has slept with K. Michelle's ex before. I'm not understanding why K. Michelle is upset,  this is the same ex who is now married and K. Michelle publicly accused of abuse. Why be mad?

Stevie J aka “Ike Turner” gets wind of what Joseline said on Benzion's radio show and decides to pay Joseline a visit, because you know him and Joseline “work together” and this cant be getting out. Stevie J. didn’t show up empty handed, he gives Joseline a new fur to which Joseline pronounces it “furrrah”. Joseline feels like Stevie J is the pimp and shes the hoe, the audience felt like that since the beginning. But she took that furrah so I guess all is well.

At the engagement party Mimi tells the girls that she moved in with Stevie J. and the women weren't fond of that idea. K. Michelle expresses how she feels about the situation between Ariane and her ex. She feels that Ariane was in the wrong for commenting  on her life. Ariane quickly states that wasn't her intention, apologizes and says she won't hurt K.Michelle again. The girls kiss and make up, literally. Good for them.

Momma Dee tries to convince Scrappy to meet with Shay. Momma Dee asks Scrappy if he's sure about Erica, Scrappy  just wants his mom to stand behind him. That doesn't stop Momma Dee from saying Shay is now fine since she lost a little weight. Scrappy isn't going for any of that and tells his mom to chill.

Mimi is looking too comfortable in Stevie J's home. And I don’t know what Mimi expects, but its Stevie J so she shouldn't expect too much from reality television's biggest ass clown. Stevie J flashes cash at attempt to literally pay for his mistakes, Mimi isn't impressed. Joseline decides to show up at Stevie J's house, saying shes ready to go to the studio. Well lets be clear she walked into Stevie J's house unannounced. Either they both have keys to each others house or people in Atlanta don’t lock their doors. Joesline sees Mimi and hurls a “Molly the Maid” insult at her, and suggest Stevie J buy Mimi a “furrah.” Stevie walks Joseline out, but Mimi is infuriated that Stevie did not defend her. But I'm thinking to myself, “Why look to Stevie J to defend you, you're an adult defend yourself! But then again Joseline almost beat the breaks off of Stevie J last season, so maybe she didn’t want any parts of that. When Stevie J walks back in  Mimi takes her frustrations out on him. Stevie J tries to diffuse the situation telling Mimi it was just a joke. Clearly this man cant decipher between jokes and insults. But proper etiquette doesn’t seem to be Stevie J's strong point. After calling Stevie J everything under the sun except his Christian name, Mimi then bites Stevie on his face.  I'm not sure, but I think if security hadn't been there Stevie might had struck back. He's escorted away and while Mimi is cussing him out, Stevie J hurls the "Molly the Maid" insult/joke. The mimi/stevie/ joseline triangle is in full effect for season 2. Tune in next week.
