Love & Hip Hop: New York Season 8 Episode 12 Recap: Yandyland
Love & Hip Hop: New York really pulled an oke-doke when it came to Yandy’s storyline. You thought Yandy was going to deal with infidelity rumors and being “married” to a man whose incarcerated? Nope. How about Yandy vs her “mother-in-law” Judy who may or may not be cheating on her husband? Nope. Yandy is a hurricane chaser. Soon as Yandy heard about the devistation Hurricane Harvey she gathered her friends to send supplies. H-Town was still wet, when Yandy got word that the island of St. Maarten had been hit.
Instead of sending supplies Yandy wants to send herself. Plus her friends and the young girls (Bri, Bianca, DreamDoll, and MariahLyn) who have been beefing all season, if they can put everything behind them.
The sit down went as well as any sit down on LHHNY. Even with Remy and Yandy overseeing the proceedings. Even with the women removing their shoes upon entry. None of that stopped Bianca from trying to get Bri for calling her a thot.
After R&B singer Trent Cruz fell for Raul, Jonathan had given up on love and turned to family. He met with his sister Jasmine to talk about his time in gay conversion camp. She encouraged him to tell his Catholic mother who sent him to the camp. Jonathan eventually tells his mom and though she struggled hearing what her son went through, she was apologetic and appreciative of the man/son Jonathan has become.
Finally Rich Dollaz spoke about being a diabetic, Lil Mo forgave Karl again, and Kiyanne blamed her past on the reason for trying to attack Sophia.
- Yandy explained these young girls should be able to be in the same room, same island without fighting. But she couldn’t be in the same room with Mendecees’ kids moms without arguing.

- Why did Mariah say she dated Cisco to get back at Rich, but was visibly hurt when Cisco said he used her because Rich was dating Diamond Strawberry.
