Love & Hip Hop: Miami Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
While Jojo Zarur made her debut last night, it was her father Jose Antonio Zarur Menez stole the show. Jojo’s parents Jose and Fadire are going through an ugly divorce straight out of a telenovella. After learning that her husband of 30 years plans to leave her with nothing but 3 kids, Fadire is down but not out. She plans to fight in the courtroom, but her soon to be ex-husband Jose vows to spend as much as it takes to never give Fadire another dime. This played out during the grand opening of Jojo’s boutique.
Jojo’s grand opening featured another confrontation, Amara and Young Hollywood. This was Hollywood’s chance to clean up his comments in the season premiere. Spoiler alert he didn’t produce a legitimate apology. As Veronica’s date you’d think Hollywood would do a better job at sounding sincere. Instead he blamed Amara for misconstruing his words and ended up calling her ignorant. Now in Hollywood’s defense (can’t believe I typed that), Amara didn’t seem like she was totally open to an apology, constantly interrupting Hollywood’s attempt.
Prince’s Miami takeover was in full effect as he hosted a party for former NFL player Brian Mckinnie. So wrapped in playing the part, Prince ignored his girlfriend Liz’s 35 text messages and 11 phone calls. When she confronted him the next day, Prince called her insecure. Even though he acknowledged he’s cheated on her in the past. Frustrated with his pretty boy antics Liz threatened to kick the “Prince” out of her castle.
New comer Malik is a “brand ambassador” who is living in the closet, happy to let people think Michelle Pooch is his girlfriend. But after realizing he lost something special, he reaches out to his ex Jeffrey. Jeffrey is Bobby Lyte’s boyfriend and while he is enjoying his first openly gay relationship with Bobby, he’s still in love with Malik. And now that Malik is ready to live his truth, Jeffrey is ready to live a lie with Bobby.
Pleasure P is undecided about what to do when it comes to Shay and Gabby. Even after getting sound advice from Blue (he’s TeamShay surprisingly) he can’t bring himself to get rid of his island breeze Gabby. After getting an ice cream flavor in their honor, Gabby showed up uninvited to get some answers from P who’s gone MIA since their last meeting. Of course Shay sees these two chatting it up and decided to cool the couple off by throwing ice cream at em.
