Love & Hip Hop: New York Season 8 Episode 5 Recap: Bianca Goes Super Saiyan Blue

Bianca kicked off the eighth season of Love & Hip Hop New York by throwing a shoe at rival Bri. And in just five episodes Bianca has leveled up past 9000.

Apparently Jonathan heard that Bianca was bad mouthing Yandy, her supposed manager and decided to pass this along to Yandy. Even though Bianca denied any wrongdoing she may have a legitimate gripe with Yandy. So far, Yandy has been managing Mendecees hissy fits, and his mother Judy’s meddling ways.

Maybe if Bianca would have been able to calmly explain her displeasure with Jonathan’s game of telephone, things might have gone better. Instead Bianca did what Bianca does best; throw stuff, threaten folks, and not listen.

What came first, Karl taking the lie detector test on LHHNY or on Couples Court?

Usually this would be reserved for the questions section, but this silliness can’t be contained to one sentence. Of course the results were the same, Karl failed. He blamed his lifetime of unfaithfulness as the reason he exchanged nudes with someone other than his wife. He seriously tried to practice monogamy on his wife?

Lil Mo isn’t going anywhere because this is her third marriage and she has 5 kids on her own. What does that mean? One could argue those are reasons to leave. Dr. Jeff showed up to help because he’s the official LHH Doctor. These two have one season written all over them. Maybe Mo can come back, but Karl is giving off Saigon, Drewski, Chink Santana, Consequence vibes.

The LHH series has been called fake since it’s inception. While the infidelity and children are real, LHH scripted variety of drama is more akin to professional wrestling than anything Dick Wolf would produce. With that said, tragedy is one of those elements that suffer from being scripted. Understand the LHH cameras don’t catch everything, and it what it doesn’t catch needs to be reenacted for viewers. Case in point Safaree’s reaction to his uncle being killed.

The scene setting didn’t work. The neon glow gave off a futuristic noir similar to something seen in Blade Runner and didn’t evoke sadness. Safaree’s talking head segment did a better job of the emotional turmoil he’s going through.

Questions

Will DreamDoll first meeting of Mama Safaree be at his uncle’s funeral?

What am I missing about Rich Dollaz? Women not only want to sleep with him, that have no qualms about doing it on camera.

Seriously how are Bianca and MariahLynn still wearing matching wigs? Can’t believe this is still a coincidence. This is probably why Cardi B left.

Speaking of Mariah, did she really drive to meet Self just to sit in a car?

Does Self really drive a Porsche?
