The RAW, The Bad, The UGLY (Royal Rumble Edition)
Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt
There was never a dull moment Bryan and Wyatt went back and forth before Bray pulled out a victory. Bray winning cleanly should elevate him even higher. There's no denying that Bray's in ring and mic skills have made him a fan favorite (even as a heel). Bray is quick and agile for his speed plus he's not afraid to take hard bumps and does an amazing job selling. Daniel Bryan delivers every single not win or lose. The WWE Universe is witnessing greatness and I for one appreciate what he's giving us. Here's some advice Bryan, take a page out of CM Punk 's book and when your contract is up hold the WWE hostage until they agree to make you a legitimate champion.
Brock Lesnar vs Big Show
This match was over quickly once it actually got started. The beating that Brock put on Show was devastating, every last hit with the chair was pure entertainment. I wanted Brock to keep hitting Show with the chairs, just to see how much more Show could take. That match was attitude era like and I applaud Brock and Show for getting close to the edge of TVPG.
Randy Orton vs. John Cena
Thank God this is over. This match was awful in the beginning and it definitely didn't come close to out performing their last match. Slow moving with too many breaks in between moves. I've never seen a match where a wrestler hits a move goes for the pin and when the other wrestler kicks out they take their sweet time to get back on the attack. Being shocked that wrestler kicked out is one thing, but just allowing them to rest is another. Toward the end the match picked up and ended well, with Bray now setting his sites on Cena, and Orton will have a new number 1 contender for his title.
The Just WTF Were They Thinking Ugly
Daniel Bryan absence from the 30 man Royal Rumble
Daniel Bryan not being in the Rumble was asinine. Even after Bryan loss to Bray everyone wanted to see Bryan in that match. Bryan should have not only participated in the Rumble, but also came out on top. What else has to happen for Bryan to prove himself? You're going to hold these young stars back to what give Bautista another shot ALREADY! He's only been back a week, he should have to work for a title shot. In 2010 this was the same dude that lost to John Cena in a I Quit match and then quit for four years. Bautista isn't a superstar that will give the WWE Universe memorable great matches from here on out. Those sentiments were justified last night at the Rumble when the crowd cheered on Roman Reigns to win the Rumble. Bautista winning the Rumble you might as well put The Ultimate Warrior in the Hall of Fame. Oh wait, you did.
