10 Shows I Can't Wait to Return This Fall
Kids are starting to go back to school, the days are becoming shorter, and before you know it the leaves will be changing colors. You know what that means? Fall is here and so are our favorite tv shows, well at least MY favorite tv shows. If you listen to Equal Opposites than you know i'm a tv junkie. Therefore, I decided that I will share with you my top 10 shows in order of return date. SPOILER WARNING! Embedded videos may contain spoilers.
FOX | New Girl Returns Tuesday Sept. 16 9/8c
Sometimes I just need a good ol' laugh. Some quirkiness, some WTF moments, and a lot of OMGs. Look no further and check out New Girl. Every character on this show will have you dying with laughter, I mean knee slapping. 30 mins well spent.
CBS | The Good Wife CBS Sunday Sept. 21
If you like drama, politics, and affairs then you should be watching The Good Wife! The Good Wife is entering its 6th season and with the lost of an important character last season, I cannot wait to see how this season will turn out.
FOX | Sleepy Hollow Returns Monday Sept. 22
Looking for a little supernatural police drama? Get your fix with Sleep Hollow. A soldier, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) in the colonial army dies in 1781 and comes back to life in 2013 and begins to work with investigator Lt. Grace Abigail "Abbie" Mills (Nicole Beharie) to kill the headless horseman. Did I peak your interest yet? Sounds crazy but it is oh so good! Check it out. The entire first season is streaming on Hulu Plus.
NBC | Law & Order: SVU Returns Wednesday Sept. 24 9/8c
What's a fall television premiere list without Law & Order: SVU? C'mon admit it, you know its your guilty pleasure. Men and women both tune in every Wednesday to see what crazy crime the show writers come up "ripped from the headlines." Last year SVU gave us an over the top "Rihanna and Chris Brown" story and let's not forget the "Trayvon Martin and Paula Dean" story. Although I feel like the show has never been the same since the actor Christopher Meloni who played Eliot Stabler left the show but the new additions while they're no 'Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike,' they do add a little something to the crew. Either way I'll be watching to see what they come up with. Anybody else feel a "Ferguson" episode coming??
CBS | NCIS Returns Tuesday Sept. 23 8/7c
I think I have a sick obsession with crime dramas two of my favorites goes to NCIS and NCIS LA. Same concept but completely 2 different shows. Crime having to do with the navy, who doesn't want to watch that? How can you not like Abby quirky self and Tony movie references? Although I miss Ziva I think I may be getting use to the new girl.
ABC | Scandal Returns Thursday Sept. 25 9/8c
There is NO WAY that I will not be sitting on my couch with a glass of wine getting my entire life with my girl Kerry Washington! Yes Lord! Did you see the season finale of Scandal? I'm not going to ruin it for you just in cause you have not seen it, but you need to see it before the new season airs. Shonda is a baaaaddddd motha-- (shut my mouth) for the scripts she comes up with. I can only imagine what this season will be about. What else can she come up with? Like seriously! I guess we will all have to watch it unfold every Thursday. The first 3 seasons are available on Netflix.
CBS | NCIS: Los Angeles Returns Monday Sept. 29 10/9c
As far as NCIS LA, I live for this new found love between Kensi and Marty! This show is all about the relationships for me. The relationship or should I say "bromance" between G (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) is always entertaining and what do y'all think about Nell (Renée Felice Smith) becoming an agent? It seems like she's ready to me. I'm sure Eric (Barrett Foa) wouldn't be too happy about but he'll be alright if it happens, right? I'll be watching to see what will happen next.
CBS | Criminal Minds Returns Wednesday Oct. 1 9/8c
My favorite crew from Criminal Minds comes back for its 10th season. Everything about this show is great. Everyone plays their role perfectly. The relationship between Penelope ( Kirsten Vangsness) and Derek ( Shemar Moore) is uncomfortable and great all at the same time. My favorite doctor, Spencer Reed ( Matthew Gray Gubler) will be back. I'm not sure what it Is about him, but I love his character. They just added all the seasons on Netflix so go catch up so that you will be ready for the premiere.
Only geniuses must work on American Horror Story. Who thinks about making a tv series where every season has a different storyline, different setting, different characters, but the same cast. They've given us Murder House, Asylum, The Coven, and now we get the Freak Show. The best part about AHS is you don't know to watch the previous season to understand the current season, but you should go watch the other seasons anyway because... they're just so great.
AMC | The Walking Dead Returns Sunday Oct. 12 9/8c
If your not watching The Walking Dead by now I don't know what you're doing with your life. One episode of this show and I was hooked. I don't even know where to begin to explain how awesome this show is. This show makes you love and hate the characters at the same time. Imagine the world filled of zombies, you would think that all the living people would work together but no, they're killing each other too. The storylines are so deep that you understand every character. You hurt when your favorite dies and rejoice when some are killed. The show completely stresses me out and I love every minute of it.
What returning shows are you excited for, put em in the comments below.
