Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: A Death In The Family

While America has had more than its fair share of deaths due to gun violence, Love & Hip Hop has avoided such tragedies. That ended with the death of Rod Gates Jr. Shooter’s son from a previous marriage, Rod Jr. was fatally shot August 7, 2017. Love & Hip Hop tastefully showed scenes from the funeral and burial of Rod Jr. And even though Sierra and Rod are going through a divorce, Sierra showed love and supported her estranged husband through this horrible ordeal.

This death has left Sierra in state of flux. While she is all for the foot rubbing new boo BK, she still wants to be there for Shooter. Even though these two haven’t put a label on their relationship, BK is worried that she’s not over Shooter due to her reaction of hearing about the two year old and one on the way.

Estelita enlists Erica and Spice to help her get out of this contract. I swear Estelita is getting the Joseline Hernandez storyline minus the beef with everyone. When Spice tells Estelita she shouldn’t have signed the contract in the first place, Estelita reveals more of her origin story. Raped at 14 by five men, sexual molested by her father, mom died of cancer. Stevie was the only one who believed in her.

Stevie being Stevie invites Estelita to a new studio, and of course he has another girl, Just Brittany, he’s managing. Just Brittany makes a sly remark about not sleeping her way to the top, and Erica comes for her feet, outfit, and face. Long story short, nothing got accomplished Estelita still giving Stevie 30%.

This might be all for nothing. At Jazzy boot camp Estelita did the worst. Tommie suggested that Estelita stick to humming.

Jessica Dime finds out she is pregnant, so she wants to get as much work done as possible before the baby gets here. That includes shooting videos before she’s showing. She invites the ladies to be in her video, with Mimi and Tokyo showing up. She also invited Melissa.

Melissa and Ty have a back and forth over the extent of Melissa and Mimi’s friendship. Mimi can’t call Melissa a friend sticking to classifying their relationship as “cool.” This leaves Ty saying she is “cool,” but Mimi knowing Ty is full of shit.
