Love & Hip Hop: Miami Season 1 Episode 5 Recap: Displeasure Papi

Last week Jojo excused herself from Hollywood, Steph, and Veronica talking behind Amara’s back, only to turn around  this week and talk behind their back to Amara. Feeling low after hearing how her friends really feel, it took a pep talk from LHHNY’s JuJu and an impromptu photo shoot. Amara invited her frenemies to an unveiling. Of course Hollywood liked every picture but the one with the afro. He joked with Amara before apologizing (much better) again for his poor choice of words.  As amazing as Amara has been, her one dimensional storyline doesn’t necessarily reflect her multifaceted personality. Hopefully this is the end of her and Young Hollywood’s storyline.

Relationships rarely work on Love & Hip Hop. Statistics being what they are, Pleasure P may have set a record. Him and Shay got off to a rocky start, with Shay having beef with the rest of Pretty Ricky. After sorting that out, Shay found out about Gabby, P’s ex-girlfriend who just popped up out of nowhere. An ice cream toss and a fashion show disaster later P has to face the music. 

Gabby having lost trust was over P and his antics. P tried to turn the tables by asking about Prince, but Gabby didn’t owe him an explanation since they weren’t exclusive.  

Next up was Shay, who got emotional thinking about past relationships and how men have treated her. P’s recent actions were too reminiscent of bad times. P saw this as an out, suggested anger management before he ended things between him and Shay.  

Malik is still unsure about being in an open gay relationship. He even tried to get Michelle Pooch to be the third wheel at pool party. After Michelle declined, he and Jeffrey enjoyed themselves for a brief moment at Prince’s party. Bobby showed up and showed out.  While Malik watched from the sideline, Bobby berated Jeffrey whose nonchalant attitude led to Bobby slapping him.
