The Gossip Game "Who's Smashing Who" Review
Sex, Lies, & Journalists
Sharon Carpenter finds herself as someone living in the past. This episode was full of her denial about that fact. Sharon interviews with allhiphop.com founder Chuck Creekmore about a job opportunity. Even though she works for Global Grind she sees herself as a freelancer. During the interview process Sharon brings up "Ms. Drama," who she feels is inferior to her. Asking Creekmore to compare the two and stating that working together might hurt her brand.
When speaking with Kim O. and "Jasfly" about "Ms. Drama's" launch party, Sharon brings up her resume once again. Sharon then goes onto question "Jasfly" journalistic integrity, assumes that she was a blogger when she was working for Necole Bitchee and told "Jasfly" to send her some links. To which after agreeing at first, "Jasfly" said if she wants to read my work then she can google me.
Viv heard a rumor about Maino, a New York based rapper, and K. Foxx. Viv and Maino have a sit down of sorts. It mainly consisted of Viv rambling a few names that Maino may or may not have had sex with, before she got to K. Foxx. Maino denied sleeping with K. Foxx. But the game was null and void anyway, since Maino said he wouldn't admit to having sex with anyone since it would hurt his chances with sleeping with women in the future.
By the time Viv and K. Foxx did speak about the rumor, any hopes for friendship had died. K. Foxx denied the rumor as well and didn't understand why Viv would post the story (with both parties denial) when she knew it wasn't true. K. Foxx doesn't trust bloggers and feels Viv is trashy and will be held down by her association with her cousin Star.
A decent episode, I hope Sharon can come to terms with reality and stop coming off as an elitist. "Ms. Drama" doesn't have many friends left on the show and this is due to her being sensitive when it comes to people being negative about her. As far as Viv and Star relationship goes, for her sake she probably should disassociate herself from him, but for mine and everyone who watches 'The Gossip Game' she should keep him around. Controversy is entertainment.
