Welcome to Lace Em Up ladies and gents. The good fellas are here to give you their prediction on the Junior Welterweight Unification Title fight between WBO Champion Terence "Bud" Crawford with a record of 28-0 and WBC Champion Viktor "Iceman" Postol who also is 28-0. EDWIN'S PREDICTION: "This is a fight that I truly am torn by. I mean I like both Crawford and Postol but someone's 0 has to go. I feel that Postol can pull off the win and give Crawford his first loss BUT then again Crawford isn't a push over. We've seen Postol in the ring with the likes of Lucas Matthysse and proved that not only he can box but also present a great chin. Terence Crawford also has been in the ring with excellent competition as well so he knows what it takes. With Postol having that reach advantage its going to be hard for Crawford to get inside of him. I don't know man, this is a fight that can go both ways. Can Crawford win, yes he can but will he win, I'm not sure. If Crawford comes into this fight trying to take Postol's head off then I think he will be in for a long night because he will be eating counterpunches like crazy and will see the jab from Postol. Experience will be the factor and Freddie Roach is one of the best ever in the sport of Boxing. So with that being said, I'm going to go with Viktor Postol by decision. The fight will go twelve. I'm torn like I said but someone has to win and someone has to lose.
CALVIN'S PREDICTION: "kay......I've always said that I have my pick and will stick to it and you know what.....I'm still sticking to it. It was very difficult for me to choose a winner for this one because at the end of the day, I'm a fan of both. This fight is not a blockbuster but it will have some classic type rounds that will catch the eyes of viewers. When I finally saw Crawford and Postol face off at the weigh in, I didn't realize just how big Postol is. I mean dude is a monster compared to Crawford but that doesn't mean anything in the sport of Boxing. With the reach advantage and a nice counter jab, I feel that Viktor Postol will pull of the upset and top Terence Crawford. Once again, it was a hard choice but it had to be done. If Crawford wins I wouldn't be surprised. This fight to me will be predictable once it goes to like Round 5. Postol needs to be patient and listen to Freddie Roach. Gameplan should be jab all night long and make Crawford get out of wack to the point where he opens himself up to get rocked. Postol demolished Matthysse like no other and once I saw that, I knew this guy could be the real deal. So Viktor Postol wins the Unification by a Split Decision."
