Summerslam Will Finish What Battleground Started

Jack Swagger vs Rusev (Flag Match)

Jack Swagger has made an incredible face turn this summer. Not only has the All-American and Zeb Colter become fan favorites going into Summerslam, but they also face their biggest challenge yet. Rusev and Lana have ran through the WWE like a buzz-saw and do not look like their slowing down anytime soon. At Battleground Rusev got the W due to a count-out, this time around Rusev is going to have to make sure Swagger is down long enough to get the flag.

Prediction: Jack Swagger via DQ

Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz (c) (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

Dolph has been in a slump of late losing 3 out of his last 4 television appearances, this has to be due to the fact that ‘Heel Zigler’ is not over the fact that he was so close to winning the IC belt at Battleground he could taste it. Meanwhile The Miz returned to the WWE last month with a new look and new perspective on life. He outsmarted everyone to win the Intercontinental Championship battle royal and has done everything to protect the belt and maybe more importantly his face.

Prediction: The Miz via pinfall

Bray Wyatt vs Chris Jerico

Bray Wyatt seems to have a little saiyan in him meaning he looks to get stronger after each loss. And the world eater will have his hands full with with Y2J. Jericho looks to be up to the challenge of knocking off "The Eater of Worlds" and with Harper and Rowan banned from ringside it might be easier than previously thought.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt via pinfall

A.J. Lee (c) vs Paige (WWE Divas Championship)

A.J. Lee and Paige “frenship” has been strange to say the least. With Paige getting in A.J.’s head on the final Monday Night Raw before Summerslam . A.J. was victorious in the rubber match, but due to Paige’s relentlessness this feud between the last two Divas champions looks to be just getting started.

Prediction: Paige via pinfall

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins (Lumberjack Match)

The WWE has gone out of their way to “protect” this encounter between the two former members of The Shield. But his Sunday we get to see two former “brothers” square off. While it would have been nice for the Money in the Bank briefcase to be at stake here, this match should entertain, despite the fact that lumberjack matches usually do more harm than good. Look for the loose cannon, Dean Ambrose, to go all out while the newest member of The Authority and MITB winner Seth Rollins has to prove his worth to Triple H and Stephanie.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns

Randy Orton's focus on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been detoured at the moment by Roman Reigns, whose biggest match in his early career is about to take place this Sunday. While he’s looked good in tag matches, and fatal 4-ways, a singles match in one of the big four (Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, and The Royal Rumble) ‘Special Events’ of the year. And Randy Orton needs to win this match to prove he is still the viper and the face of The Authority.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella

Who would have thought going into Summerslam, WWE's two biggest heels arguably are Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon. The latter of which is heading into her first match in over 10 years (I'm not counting the Mud Pool match vs Vickie Guerrero) and though since her husband is Triple H she probably trains constantly, but that does not mean there will not be any ring rust. Brie on the other hand is not only fighting for herself, but a piece of her has to be thinking about her husband former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan who has been sidelined for the past three months.

Prediction: Brie Bella

John Cena (c) vs Brock Lesnar (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

John Cena has faced big challenges before, matter of fact he and Brock Lesnar hooked up when ‘The Beast’ returned in 2012. But Lesnar in the beginning of this year declared his desire for a shot at being the champ. On his way to the belt Lesnar ended the biggest streak in sports entertainment history by defeating The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Now his sights are set on Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect and Lesnar's confidence seems to be through the roof. Is this due to beating The Undertaker or having Paul Heyman in his corner... maybe both.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar
