Love & Hip Hop: New York Season 8 Episode 8 Recap: Raul Is Me Bitch!

Say what you will about the Love & Hip Hop franchise, it’s fair. Mona doesn’t discriminate when it comes to showing the good and (mostly) bad of one’s relationship. Jonathan found this out first hand.

His relationship with R&B singer Trent Cruz has been rocky to say the least. Jonathan wants more time together, while Trent needs more time period. After a compromise earlier this season, last night’s episode showcasing the couple on a bike ride was off to a promising start.

But things quickly turned for the worse when Jonathan’s surprised studio visit ended with him learning Trent lied about his whereabouts. This prompted Jonathan to create a fake Tinder account “Raul” to catfish Trent.

Once Trent fell for it (sending nudes, setting up dates) he quickly exit stage left when he realized Jonathan was Raul.

James R is an enigma wrapped in misery trying to get inside of Sophia. And he might have a chance. Despite Sophia, who is now living and cooking for James R, claiming she is merely returning the favor for the puppy, there are times you can see James R is wearing Sophia down ala Steve Urkel and Laura Winslow.

Sophia did make a great decision though. She opted not to show up at James R’s single release party, seemingly out of fear of MariahLynn.

So what did James R do without Sophia on his arm, he picked a fight with DJ Self, Jaquae, and “Shnoop.”

After the success Juliet sorry Ju Ju’s fist book she has plans to turn it into a stage play starring two of her cast mates Safaree and Bianca. All those years of Safaree acting a fool has finally paid off, and Bianca with a little work could be decent.

After auditions Ju Ju hinted at problems within her and Cam’s relationship.

Oh, Remy and Pap are good to go on the baby making process.
