For Those Of You Not Keeping Up, Here's The Joe Budden vs Drake Timeline *UPDATED*

For Those Of You Not Keeping Up, Here's The Joe Budden vs Drake Timeline *UPDATED*

May 5 - Joe Can't See Drake's Point of VIEWS

When VIEWS dropped, fans were disappointed and critics gave Drake's fourth studio album mixed reviews. One of Drake's biggest fan, Joe Budden decided to vent his frustrations with the album on his podcast I'll Name This Podcast Later

May 11 - Drake Pumps It Up

During a clip (1:11) of a studio session with French Montana, Drake starts his feature verse off with "Pump pump, pump it up," the same line used and what is Joe Budden's biggest song to date. Adding fuel to the fire Joe promised us he would wait until the full song drop before responding.

June 4 - Drake Reminds Us Jealous Ones Envy

On OVO Sound Radio Drake surprised fans with 4PM in Calabasas. To the untrained ear its subliminal towards Puff Daddy on EMPD's "You're A Customer, a track that Puff has sampled numerous times. But to Conspiracy Joe, Drake was also sending shots towards him.

"They whole demeanor just spells envy"

June 7 - Conspiracy Joe Might Be Right

Conspiracy Joe is in full effect. On his podcastJoe spends nearly 13 minutes breaking down 4pm in Calabasas picking out which lines are meant for Puff Daddy and which are seemingly directed towards him. All while grooving to the track.

June 5 - A Killer Is Born

Joe Budden broke his promise, and dropped Making a Murderer. A six minute assault on Drake.

"What he don't know is we the most kindred of souls
I should've did this two Kendricks ago
He wanna sing? Well let's get into the show, commence my role
For Jodeci, Boyz II Men, we at the end of the road"

July 6 - Joe Budden's Art of War

Last year when Drake and Meek were going at it, Drake dropped "Charged Up" and "Back to Back" before Meek finally responded. So in turn Joe dropped "Wake" not waiting for Drake to respond to "Making the Murderer. Filled with accusations of Drake being a wave rider who uses people for his personal gain. Mentioning The Weeknd, ILoveMakonnen, and "Started From the Bottom" producer Zombie as people Drake co-signed but no longer collaborate with.

"It's plenty reason to slay you
Kept going up Tuesday's and now The Weeknd just hates you
Are you lifeless? Sound like a zombie on the track
Remember "Started From the Bottom," it was Zombie on the Track"

July 16 - Drake's Calling Out Names

During OVO Radio, French Montana's "No Shopping" featuring Drake premiered. Drake didn't shy away from the beef. Not only was the Pump it up line in there, it was a direct reference aimed at Joe Budden, he even name drops Budden.

"Pump, pump, pump it up
She got a good head on her, but I pump it up
I'm not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff
You let me turn into the nigga that you almost was"

July 16 - Joe Calls Out Drake's Fear

In record time, Joe Budden dropped his most vicious diss so far. On Sampling Drake’s “The Resistance” from his debut album Thank Me Later, "Afraid" sounds more like a disappointed father speaking to a son, than an MC who's out for blood. Joe's chess playing comes through on this track. On "Wake" Joe drops a line mentioning one of Drake's foes Pusha T:

"So I take all the guns, load half the clips
I just notice you run, we mention half the Clipse
I'll save that for another time I'll get back to it"

Joe gets back to that in clever fashion.

"So off the hook of me, maybe y'all should be shook of me
Should know I’d kill him at even the slightest push of me
And when his team press up shirts, I’ll help 'em push a tee, Should it read, he pressed buttons but wouldn’t push a tee
Gotta be buggin', maybe he dunno where Pusha be
Or when Pusha push the agenda he isn’t pushed to see"

July 20 - Drake's Energy

On the first stop of Drake's and Future's “Summer Sixteen” tour, Drake took some time to acknowledge the energy from the crowd. And in doing so extended an invite to Joe before throwing a jab.

July 22 - Joe Doesn't Need A Reason

On "Just Because" Joe admits his love for Drake and all of this has just been tough love for the 6 God. Using a Jackson 5 sample of "Just Because I Love You" Budden spends the brunt of the track throwing accusations of him fathering Drake's style.

Ain’t been dark in a while, pardon my style
I mean, I think I hear my part in your style
I can attach different acts to different parts of your style
Yeah we let you act as if you had parts in your style, nah

July 24 - Joey Rocks

The Joe Budden Drake beef took a strange turn when Drake fans began harrasing Joe Budden on Twitter, then went to his house to recite Drake lyrics. Joe hopped in his car and chased the kids down with a handful of rocks. The kids quickly apologized.

July 26 - Drake the Follower

The kids who ran up on Budden did it not only because they're deranged Drake fans, but they also wanted social media fame. And they got it. They were everywhere and even got Drake to follow them on Instagram.

July 27 - Drake Slides Into Joe's DM

Joe didn't do too much press after the kids harassed him, but he was scheduled to to ESPN's Cari Champion's podcast before the incident. And that's where he let the world know Drake DM'd him on Instagram with a strange message.

"He started off with 'I would like to formally invite you to one of my four Madison Square Garden shows, August 4th. You and however many people you’d like to bring. Then after that it said, ‘and I bet you can’t release 25 diss records between now and then. So then it was the laughing emoji. I use that emoji with my friends, so I don't know if he's laughing or joking at this point. And then he followed that with, ‘If you can, I will give you $10,000 LOL.’ And then it said 'Joey' with a bunch of exclamation points. I didn’t know how to take that.”

July 29 - Joe Flexing

Joe Budden paid Hot97's legendary DJ Funkmaster Flex a visit to drop off some bars speaking on the kids who visited his house, Drake and his thoughts on the rap game.

Listen, you never see how I handle the spot
Been on both sides of the fence, seen the hammer get cocked
I give a fuck if young niggas understand it or not
Sometimes you gotta show the kids you really ran with the Roc

Besides you jabbed first, but both knew my jab back harder
A tad fast like zab at the sparring, that magna carter
Look, for any man to bad bar up
The Joe can get hot, just ask Starbucks

August 2 - No More Songs From Joey

On the latest episode of "I'll Name This Podcast Later" Joe states there will be no more songs. Reason being is Joe's laptop is in Ice's possession. Joe did state if there are more disses they would be in the "freestyle" format used on Funkmaster Flex show.

This  was originally posted July 17, and was updated August 2 to reflect the past instances.
