Here's How Money In The Bank 2016 Will Play Out
Thanks to WWE adding matches, Money in the Bank will have 8 matches, the same as Extreme Rules and the same as Payback. The WWE seems fixated on making sure every PPV is like Wrestlemania whereas they try to get as many people on the show as possible. Personally I liked it better when certain people were left off the show because they hadn't earn it. But anyway I'm back after going 7-1 (damn you Miz!) with my Extreme Rules predictions leaving my total at 14-3 so far.
Kickoff Pre-Show
The Lucha Dragons vs. The Dudley Boyz
Winner: The Dudley Boyz
The Golden Truth vs. Breezango
Winner: Who Car... Breezango
Main Show
Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin
Since being called up from NXT at Wrestlemania 32, Baron Corbin has faced Dolph Ziggler six times! Not to mention this will be the third consecutive PPV these two will hold down the pre-show. The most heelish thing Corbin has done was accept a rematch with Ziggler after beating him in a no DQ match. Seriously guys I'm done, I hope Corbin not only wins but kayfabe kills Ziggler so the only way these two will be able to fight will be in the afterlife.
Winner: Baron Corbin
Apollo Crews vs Sheamus
The WWE thought it was a good idea to call up an athletic specimen with no personality and thus Apollo Crews has yet to connect with the WWE Universe. The upcoming split and a feud with the Celtic Warrior should help rectify that. I can't see Crews losing at his debut PPV, look for him to not only win but look good doing so, raising his draft stock.
Winner: Apollo Crews
Rusev w/Lana vs Titus O'Neil (United States Championship)
Titus O'Neil is getting a strong Father's Day push after returning from a 60 day suspension. Minus the Muhammad Ali promo, this feud has been heating up, and I think Titus will walk out as the new United States champion.
Winner: Titus O'Neil
The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and/or Xavier Woods) (c) vs. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch)
The way I see it The New Day will break Kendrick and London's reign as longest running tag team champions, The Club have other things going for them, Enzo and Cass don't need the belts just yet and The Vaudevillians aren't ready yet.
Winner: The New Day Retains
Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs. Natalya and Becky Lynch
This storyline is convoluted so I decided to to just insert the Wikipedia description.
At Extreme Rules, WWE Women's Champion Charlotte defeated Natalya due to distraction by Dana Brooke dressing as Ric Flair. On the May 23 episode of Raw, Charlotte turned on her father, Ric Flair, claiming he was no longer needed, and therefore, aligned herself with Dana Brooke as her apprentice. On the May 26 episode of SmackDown, Natalya defeated Brooke by disqualification. On the May 30 episode of Raw, after Brooke defeated Natalya, Becky Lynch would come to the assist of Natalya. On the June 2 episode of SmackDown, Lynch defeated Charlotte by disqualification.[18] On the June 9 episode of SmackDown, Lynch defeated Brooke. On June 13, a match pitting Charlotte and Brooke against Natalya and Lynch was scheduled for Money in the Bank.
Winner: Natalya and Becky Lynch
John Cena vs AJ Styles
This is a dream match, WWE vs TNA/NJPW, and it had an interesting contract signing. AJ Styles chose to sign the contract banning The Club from interfering. This is a perfect opportunity for Finn Balor to make his main roster debut and help Styles get the W over Cena.
Winner: AJ Styles
Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho (MITB Ladder Match)
I'm one of the few people who isn't a fan of the whole MITB thing. Usually the winner goes on a long losing streak, it leaves fans wondering why the holder of the briefcase just doesn't cash in anytime after a hard fought title match, and it all but guarantees whoever wins the MITB will be the next champion. With that said it works better with a heel holding the briefcase so I'm going with Kevin Owens.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Dream Scenario: Dean Ambrose Wins and Cashes in After Rollins Victory
Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Championship
When Rollins returned at Extreme Rules I was excited to see "Crossfit Jesus," but when WWE decided he was going to be a heel, I lost enthusiasm. Then I watched his 24/7 and regained joy but not without questioning WWE's tactics. Honestly him coming back as a face winning the title he never lost and then turning heel would have been great. But since the WWE is hellbent on Reigns being the face of the company I don't see him losing.
Winner: Roman Reigns Retains
